it’s my personal headcanon that Dean would have gone to college to be an engineer. he’s fucking smart as fuck. 

Everyone makes him out to be a mechanic, like all he does is cars — NO, that’s just a bored but brilliant child finding an outlet for their intelligence.  Just as artists doodle on the walls, all Dean had was Legos and the Impala.  So, he took an interest in the Impala.  Give that boy a college education, he will build rockets and bridges and ultra-super-microscopic cameras.
